I never used to like coffee. As a young girl I thought that it tasted very bitter, but like most foods and drinks my tastebuds adjusted to it and soon found it not only edible but quite good. Certain foods are an acquired taste like tofu, broccoli, brussel sprouts, avocado, etc. Coffee is one of those drinks that most people don’t like the first time they try it, but after their fourth of fifth cup they get hooked on the caffeine. Personally, I have never liked my coffee straight up black, maybe someday I will but not today. I think it’s interesting to see what kind of foods people like and don’t like, because there are a lot of varied tastes, and some people’s favorite foods are another person’s worst nightmare. Especially if you are a child trying to taste one of your parent’s favorite foods, because at a young age certain foods can make you gag. That was always eggplant, mushrooms, and tomatoes for me…Coffee on the other hand is one of the greatest picker uppers besides a cup of tea because of the caffeine, and can give a great boost of energy to whoever is drinking it. This link shows many ways to have your coffee that I never even thought of, maybe it will inspire you to brew your morning cup differently. I like the idea of Coconut water iced coffee because it has electrolytes, it’s refreshing, and it’s a lot healthier than your average cup of coffee filled with tons of sugar and creme (well I mean if you have the kind of coffee I normally do it would be filled with spoonfuls of creme and sugar). It also sounds like perfect treat yourself coffee for the summer. Reading through these variations of coffee flavors, I noticed coconut pop up quite a bit, I think someone’s a fan of coconut flavored coffee. The pumpkin spice latte is also very enticing, and only 90 calories.
